The sector of the motorcar has been one of most punished by the crisis. In our country the sales of motorcars during the last year 2009 did not come to the million units, what supposes a fall of 17,9 with regard to 2008. This number of sales is the worst from 1995, when only 881.511 motorcars sold.
The official number of sales with which it closed the year 2009 is 952.772 units, what is translated in the sales volume more down last 15 years. According to the information spread yesterday on Monday by the manufacturers' associations (Anfac) and sellers (Ganvam), the descent rubs 18 % in relation to 2008. In spite of everything, the registrations of todoterrenos and tourisms managed to save the exercise newly finished with a better result of the due thing in the beginning thanks to the direct helps to the buy of the Plan 2000E, in that more than 260.000 operations took refuge.
In the last month of the year 2009, the sales of cars registered an increase of 25,1 % reaching a number of 90.553 sold units, what represented the fourth consecutive monthly increase. The last trimester of the year and thanks to the Plan of rescue of the Government the vehicles registrations grew 29 %, in contrast with the disastrous numbers of the first semester of the same year.
In the report presented by both associations one emphasizes that, compared to the year 2007, the Spanish car market registered last year a fall of 41 %, what in absolute values is equivalent to sell 662.000 units less.
The new Plan 2000E for 2010 will help to support the numbers of sales during the first semester, later the increase of two points will come in the sure VAT and the tendency that will change, since by that time, the economic situation of the country does not seem that it is going to improve very much. Anfac and Ganvam predict a registrations volume for 2010 very similar to that of 2009.
