Innovations for Ford S-Max

Ford renews his most sports monovolume, the S-Max. The American mark bets clearly for the automatic change and claims that his new clients also do it. For it it will provide the S-Max of an advanced automatic change Powershift of series, without increase on the final price of the vehicle. In our country the first units of this monovolume will be available only with this change, if we choose for the manual we will have to wait a few months after the order is carried out to factory.

The automatic change Powershift is the big attraction of this model, it presents a design of pine nut kernel of dual intermediate axis (to one of his sides it gears the marches you give birth and to other the odd ones), which allows a much shorter transition between marches and effective. This automatic transmission will be free in all the vehicles of high scale that Ford throws to the market in a next future.

Esthetically the S-Max receives a new design of his fronta l, with a more pronounced hood, a new paragolpes and a few optical groups more stylized thanks to the new chrome frames. His rims 17 inches in diameter are again a design, the windows are provided with a few new chrome frames, the rear pilots get longer and lights include type LED and the rear large door also receives a new design. In his cockpit we find a new console, versions with panoramic roof, a new team of more sophisticated sound and of major potency of exit, new colors for dashboard and seats, and luminous details also type LED.

As for the motorizaciones he emphasizes the new propellent of 2 liters called EcoBoost, constructed completely in aluminum and with a new system of direct injection of high pressure. This engine is capable of delivering 203 potency CV to 5.500 returns and it offers a good turning moment (300 Nm) between 1.750 and 4.500 revolutions. This propellent allows to the S-Max to overcome 220 km / h of speed top, with a few good accelerations and a 8 liters average consumption in mixed circuit that goes down to 6,4 liters when we circulate along highway. The new EcoBoost allows to reduce the pollutant emission in 20 % with regard to the ancient models of the mark, placing them in approximately 189 grams of CO2 per covered kilometer.

The new S-Max with automatic change Powershift and engine of high yield EcoBoost will be available in the concessionaires at the end of March or the first of April.
