Countryman; stretching the Mini

They do not stop surprising the Mini designers us. Now they are taken down by a version todocamino of the small vehicle. In this blog of the engine we already speak about the concept presented by Mini not long ago, called Beachcomber, well, being based on this prototype, Mini, spear the Countryman (the name can change depending on the country where it is commercialized).

The Countryman is the biggest of the whole family, it relies on with entire haulage and five doors. The new Mini model tien 4,09 meters long (20 centimeters more than the Clubman), a distance between 2,59 meters axes and it is higher than any of his brothers. Esthetically it is provided with a broiler and re-designed optical groups, his hood is more convex and is provided in his rear with a logo of Mini by means of which we open the trunk. The version Cooper S Countryman is provided with a proper completion that includes rear baffle, two exits of leakage and orifices of ventilation in the wheel steps.

His interior care allows us to choose a configuration for four or five persons, if we choose two individual seats or a stool for three in his rear squares (without cost between two options). Both the seats and the stool can move longitudinally if we need more load space, going so far as to obtain a capacity equivalent to 440 liters with the completely wrongly placed seats. If it was necessary, also they can swoop down, thus, the porter would grow up to 1.170 liters.

Mini includes in his new model the called system of storage and connectivity Center Rail. In him we can place small objects (keys, glasses.) and electronic devices as MP3 or mobile phones. The above mentioned will be connected from the Centre Rail to the multimedia system of the proper vehicle.

The optional equipment of the Countryman includes xenon lighthouses with draft function in curves, a panoramic roof of big surface, a connection for iPhone or a windshield with heating. He will have a sports kit that John Cooper Works shares elements with that of the version and that is provided with a sports chassis of minor height.

The motorizaciones will be three of gasoline and two diésel, with a potency status that will go from the 90 to the 184 CV. The system of entire haulage will only be free for the versions Cooper S and Cooper D, the rest will be provided with front haulage. The system ALL4 distributes the haulage automatically and equivalent between both axes. Of series they all will be provided with a manual gearbox of six speeds. The automatic change is optional only for the gasoline versions.
