The Hummer and 3.000 employees who were devoting themselves to his construction, conception and distribution, they are the new victims of one of the most fierce crises of last times. General Motors tried to sell Hummer to the Chinese group Tengzhong but finally no type of agreement was reached.

Everything began now one year ago and a half, when GM announced that to be able to survive and face to his payments it should do without several of his most prestigious models, one of the first ones in falling down was the sports Pontiac, a real symbol in that country. To followed line and following a plan of clipping of expenses, the group decided to sell Saab to Spyker, also Opel suffered a process of sale that in the end did not take to effect and now it is Hummer that after not finding a buyer is convicted to disappear.

With seven plain lines the direction of General Motors announced his decision, after the inability of the Chinese group Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machine to complete the Hummer acquisition for problems with the Government of his country, which refused to the buy.

The vice-president of GM made sure that the closing Hummer will be "arranged" and that it departs from 3.000 employees who will lose his employment they will begin to be employed at other marks of the group as: Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac or GMC.

This way so sad we say good-bye to this popular vehicle of enormous dimensions derived from the military Humvee which first appearance dressed in street took place in the 80s.
