Opel reckons to throw in the middle of this year 2010 the second generation of his smallest monovolume, for the Meriva. In our blog dedicated to the engine we move forward to you something of this small big vehicle which manufacture it is foreseen that is carried out in the factory with which the German company is provided in Figueruelas, Saragossa.
As there has passed the proper signature, the Meriva, it is provided with a new system called FlexSpace that increases his interior flexibility. The new modular system of the rear seats has been developed by Opel to facilitate to the maximum his folded one and to allow to the user to change his configuration of a comfortable and rapid form.
As I complement to the flexibility in his cockpit, the Meriva is provided with another system named FlexDoor that facilitates the access to the interior of the vehicle. By means of this system, the rear doors are opened in the opposite direction to the front parts, in such a way that to enter and to go out of the monovolume turns into a much more comfortable exercise. If ours the bicycle is, the new Meriva is provided with the FlexFix, an element escamoteable out of the porter that allows us to transport it easily.
The engineers of the German signature have increased the distance between axes of the car, with what his habitability has increased. The Meriva of the second generation is provided with major space to keep objects inside his cockpit, in addition to including a system of interchangeable containers and desplazables for rails for major serviceability called FlexRail. The interior is even offered with six possible completions in color and finished.
The fan of propellents that they will impel to this small monovolume there will be six, all of them of low emission and with potency between 75 and 140 CV. Opel will throw also a version of low consumption called ecoFLEX. The boxes of change connected to these engines will be 5 รณ 6 relations and there will exist the possibility of mounting an automatic change in some of the models.

2010 Opel Meriva will be powered by both turbocharged gasoline and diesel engine and will generate outputs ranging from 75 to 140 horsepower. It is an important venture for General Motors globally. The current Meriva edition is all sold all over Europe and some parts of South America under the Chevy flag. However it is unlikely that this new edition will adorn the streets of US.
